It's hard to beat the sound of a vintage Fender Reverb Unit, and this Brownface version from 1962 proves it over and over again just how good the Fullerton-made spring reverb is.
Recently in from a local gentleman who received it from its original owner (once paired with an original 1962 Fender Brownface Deluxe!), this is a great example of the heralded tube reverb unit in very good overall condition. Pair it up with your favorite Tweed/Brown Fender or other non-reverb vintage amp, and you've got some glorious and lush reverb tones.
The cabinet and exterior are in great shape and remain all original including the often replaced original handle. The circuit has been serviced by our local amp tech Stan day and is functioning and sounding great. The original power transformer was replaced some time ago and identifies as a 1978 year of manufacturer. Voltages are correct as confirmed by the amp tech. There's a slight indentation in the chassis at the input jack indicating it may have taken a hit at some point; however, the chassis remains structurally sound with no impediment to functionality.
If you're looking for that classic spring reverb sound, Fender's 6G15 Reverb Unit is the one to beat.
