Fender 6G3 Deluxe (1962)
Vintage
The venerable Brownface Fender 6G3 Deluxe is lauded for its combination of Tweed era rawness and midrange with a bit of the early Blackface punch and response.
Often considered by many as Fender's "mini Marshall", the 6G3 Deluxe boasts a healthy 20 watts via a pair of 6V6 output tubes with a 12AX7 preamp front end. Normal and Bright channels feature volume and tone controls, with the bias modulation tremolo circuit tied to the Bright channel (speed and depth controls). This is a largely original example complete with original transformers, speaker, and an unmodified circuit save for requisite service. The amp recently underwent a recap along with fresh tubes and a 3-prong power cord.
The original Oxford 12K5 speaker (pictured) is included in the sale, but we've elected to outfit it with a great Mojotone Anthem 50w ceramic speaker that sounds great with this circuit.
**Please Note: All vintage amplifiers - regardless of service history - contain electronic components that will eventually require replacement or repair. This is often unpredictable and should be expected as a vintage amplifier owner. We are not responsible for additional service upon receipt. We also do not guarantee tube life.**
