What's a Q Top? We could bore you with a diatribe about parametric equalizers, tap tones, etc. But suffice it to say: Q Tops have been tested by the sawyers at Pacific Rim Tonewoods, and have been found to have the lowest level of acoustic damping of all the wood in their inventory. Low damping typically equates to increased resonance and responsiveness, alongside all the other qualities we look for in a great instrument (sustain, lushness, complexity of sound).
