Product information

This 2005 Collings D2H represents an amazing deal for a bluegrass guitarist who's been waiting for a pre-war style Brazilian Rosewood dreadnought. It's upgraded with "AAA" Brazilian back & sides, an Adirondack Spruce top, and Collings's "Vintage" neck shape (a thicker version of their standard "V" accompanied by a wide neck and string spacing). The sound is incredibly powerful and wide-open, with the fabled Collings projection and power. This guitar's treble strings are especially round and warm-sounding -- a nicely mellowed alternative to the expected "zing" of a Collings.

We'd call this guitar's condition very good, considering it's been played for 20 years. There are a couple small top dings, which are nearly impossible to photograph. The obvious blemish is the sun-bleached look of the back. While the look could certainly be classified as jarring ~ no one will see the back when the guitar is being played! The original pickguard has also been replaced with a nice-looking, faux-tortoiseshell stand-in. Interested buyers are welcome to contact us for an in-hand description. Priced with its original TKL hard case.
