Product information

A gorgeous Bearclaw Blue Spruce Top and Figured Mahogany back and sides make this a rare and exceptional Collings.

We were fortunate to see this top last year and knew we had to build something special with it. "Blue" spruce Collings have been some of our favorite Collings builds in recent memory, and the incredible figure in the top of this one is some of the nicest we've seen. The color in "Blue" Spruce comes from reclaimed wood that has spent a considerable amount of its existenece underwater. This wood is highly sought after due to its accelerated natural aging and beautiful patina.

Not to be outdone, the figured mahogany back and sides are equally stunning. The sound leaps out of this guitar with a powerfully resonant lower register and a ton of sonic clarity. This is one of those guitars that just sounds "right" from the first strum.

It has been elegantly appointed with a tortoise bound neck, body, and peghead as well as a long diamond and squares fretboard pattern. We left the tongue brace out of this build to give it an extra bit of resonance and volume. This one of a kind build is the rare guitar that's equally visually, and sonically, stunning.
