Campanella Due Oval (USED, 2013)
Excellent
This Campanella Due Oval mandolin features the elusive, 1 3/8" nut width! Anyone who has found themselves wishing for more left-hand real-estate on the fingerboard should give this mandolin serious consideration.
Joe Campanella Cleary builds exquisite, sonorous mandolins that draw deeply on violin design and aesthetics. While his use of overhung violin edges and deep, earthy colors visually distinguish his instruments, the most exciting aspect of Campanella mandolins is their sound. This mandolin has a wide open, woody voice, with surprising punch for an oval hole instrument, and would sit well in a wide variety of musical contexts.Notably, this 2013 oval hole build was ordered a wide, 1 3/8" nut width, and accompanying fuller neck profile. The result is surprisingly comfortable, and would suit anyone who desires a neck with a little more mass and a significantly wider string spacing under the left hand.
Appointments include a gold Allen tailpiece, gold Waverly tuners, Campanella's signature bell headstock inlay in abalone, elegant pickguard, and a custom ebony armrest.
