This OM from luthier, Micah Bruce, was built for display at the 2026 Fretboard Summit in Chicago. We had a chance to play it alongside his other beautiful instruments, and we were smitten (even in a noisy room next to an overdrive pedal display).
Featuring Brazilian Rosewood back & sides, a Red Spruce top, and early 1930's style construction (bar frets and an Ebony neck rod), this instrument calls to mind the two other Bruce flattops we recently sold. It's effortlessly responsive and open-sounding, with an impressive mix of dryness and harmonic complexity (no mean feat when building a new Rosewood guitar). It stands up heartily to a flatpick, offering excellent projection and roundness of note attack. The top is French-polished, making for lively fingerstyle responsiveness and a weathered look all at once. If you're in the market for vintage-style tone and feel, and you agree that a distressed finish makes a positive impact on sound, this guitar deserves close consideration.

Every instrument is thoroughly checked and set up before shipping fully insured via UPS with tracking to your door. We reuse boxes and materials to cut waste when they meet our protection standard.
Inspect it, play it, and if it isn't right, contact us within 48 hours of delivery to arrange a return or one-time exchange. Returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee, and the buyer covers shipping both ways.
