Brondel "New Vintage" '73 DC HSS Lake Placid Blue (USED, 2025)
S-Style · Single Coils Pickups · Used
This Brondel "New Vintage" '73 DC HSS in Lake Placid Blue build takes the vintage partscaster concept to a whole new level.
If you've followed along with our ever-growing vintage electric inventory (especially over the past few years), you may have noticed some particularly interesting pieces that straddle the line between what was and what could be. Chances are, it was a "New Vintage" build by one of our favorite luthiers, Laurent Brondel.Taking the vintage mutt or "partscaster" concept to a whole new level, Laurent seems to effortlessly blur the line between a guitar that plays like a brand new boutique level instrument and one that has the sound and feel of a 50+ year old guitar. This offering is a stunning example in so many ways.
With an original 1973 Fender Stratocaster neck and a shop-made S-Style body, this New Vintage '73 HSS has all the great vintage tonality combined with a beautiful Lake Placid Blue nitro finish, quality components, and an unmistakable vibe.
The mid 70s Stratocaster pickups are married together with a vintage DiMarzio PAF style humbucker for the ultimate in HSS style function and versatility. The wonderfully worn-in and fast-playing slim C '73 Fender Stratocaster neck feels incredible in hand as well.
Arguably one of our most popular electric offerings from our small-shop builders, this New Vintage isn't poised to stick around long!
