Why We Love This

After you hear about ten seconds of the accompanying demo, we think you'll know why we love this guitar. The power, dryness, and clarity of a 1930's style-18 Martin is simply irresistible. This OM-18, serial 54584, is an excellent-sounding example of the model; which plays as easily as one of these can thanks to a refret and setup by TJ Thompson. The guitar has had a neck reset in the past, and its original bridge has been replaced. The back has been oversprayed as well, with recent antiquing of the overspray by TJ. The bridge plate and all internal components are original and healthy; and the guitar has no cracks. The takeaway here is sound & playability. We feel that the guitar's overall condition and setup make it attractive to collectors and players alike; but if you're in the camp mostly concerned with the coveted golden-era tone, this guitar gets our highest marks. Priced with Calton hardshell case. Expedited shipping is required.
