Creston 12-String Offset Charcoal Frost (USED, 2024)
Solid Body · Humbuckers Pickups · Used
A handcrafted, Vermont-built 12-string offset with stage-ready tone, effortless playability, and Lollar-powered jangle that cuts.
Every Creston that crosses our bench feels like it has a little soul baked in, and this 12-string Offset is no exception. Built just a few hours north of us in Burlington, Vermont, this one-off was made with Creston’s signature mix of irreverence, playability, and old-school cool. If you’ve played one, you know.Finished in Charcoal Frost Metallic with a celluloid tort guard, it’s got undeniable stage presence and it plays with the kind of effortlessness you don’t typically associate with 12-strings. The torrefied alder body keeps things light and resonant, while the quartersawn maple neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and stability. It feels balanced and broken-in in all the right ways.
Sonically? It’s a vibe machine. The Lollar Mini Humbucker in the neck is full and woody, perfect for big chord beds or textural rhythm work. The Firebird pickup in the bridge adds sparkle, bite, and a little extra snap. Think: jangle, with teeth. Paired with Hipshot locking tuners, it stays in tune shockingly well for a 12er.
Whether you're layering textures in the studio or need something bold and inspiring on stage, this Offset delivers. And like every Creston, it’s built by hand for real players - just ask folks like Ian MacKaye, Jay Farrar, Kris Delmhorst, or Zack Hickman.
A unique, expressive 12-string that doesn’t play like one. Just the way we like it.
