Brondel "New Vintage" Hot Rod '69, Burgundy Mist Metallic (2025)
S-Style · Humbuckers Pickups · Used
Taking the vintage mutt or "partscaster" concept to a whole new level, Laurent seems to effortlessly blur the line between a guitar that plays like a brand new boutique level instrument and one that has the sound and feel of a 50+ year old guitar. This recent offering is a stunning example in so many ways.
With an original 1969 Fender Coronado neck and a shop-made S-Style Alder body, this New Vintage '69 Hot Rod HSS has all the great vintage tonality combined with a beautiful Burgundy Mist Metallic nitro finish, quality components, and an unmistakable vibe. Two Lollar Blackface stratocaster pickups are married together with a vintage Gibson Patent Stamp humbucker for the ultimate in HSS style function and versatility. Laurent wired up the pickups so that each single coil sees 250k at the pots, and the humbucker sees 500k. It's the ultimate hot rod wiring for this configuration!
This is an early 2025 build that recently came in on trade, and for all intents and purposes, it's essentially in the same condition as it was when Laurent first shipped it out.
