Taylor Gold Label 814E Natural Top Honduran Rosewood

It only takes one strum on Taylor's new Gold Label 814e to realize there's something different going on here. While still recognizably a Taylor, the lower register is decidedly more open, resonant, and powerful than we're used to hearing. Andy Powers designed the Gold Label guitars to sound and respond more like a vintage guitar and it's not a subtle thing. This is different than any other Taylor guitar you've ever played.

There are a number of interesting design elements at work to achieve this new sound. First and foremost, the Gold Label welcomes a new size, the Super Auditorium, to the Taylor family. Just a touch larger than the extremely popular Grand Auditorium, it's a very comfortable guitar to sit with. It's very open and resonant when fingerpicked or played lightly, and dynamic and punchier when played aggressively.
