The solid Mahogany back and sides, and Torrefied Sitka Spruce top, lean warm and woody, with a strong fundamental focus and more power across the frequency range than the compact Grand Concert body might suggest. The roasting process on the Sitka Top adds a touch of aged-in sweetness and depth, a quality that typically takes years of playing to develop naturally.

The Action Control neck makes setup adjustments precise and accessible, and the Claria System electronics handle amplification situations with ease and finesse. The guitar has a striking golden-brown shaded edgeburst top that developed in collaboration with Harper himself. This is a well-considered Special Edition that stands on its own merits, with or without the name on the headstock.
