The Taylor Gold Label 712e occupies a sweet spot in the acoustic world, a compact Grand Concert with enough body depth to produce a sound that belies its size. Indian Rosewood back and sides and a torrefied Sitka spruce top play to the strengths of a variety of guitarists. Fingerstyle players will find top-end clarity and depth, while flatpickers and strummers will appreciate the rich low-end presence and blooming harmonics when you lean into it. Taylor's fanned V-Class bracing boosts volume, sustain, and resonance across the frequency range in a way that feels very balanced. The comfortable Action Control neck, and long-tenon joint, add resonance and precise adjustability. An LR Baggs Element VTC and deluxe British Cocoa hardshell case round out this nicely appointed instrument.
