Spring 2025

Vintage Collection

This season’s lineup may be small, but it’s mighty - featuring standout instruments from pivotal eras in American guitar making. Highlights include a rare 1934 Martin 00-21 and Gibson Nick Lucas, joined by electric icons like a gorgeous 1963 Gibson ES-335, a fun 1967 Melody Maker, and a near-pristine 1969 Fender Bass VI. From pre-war acoustics to mid-century electrics, this collection offers a time-spanning snapshot of guitar history for discerning players and collectors alike.

Martin 00-21

For players who want the warmer, fatter sound and responsiveness of a 12-fret guitar and the playability of a 14-fret 000, these are grail-level guitars.

Gibson

Nick Lucas

Special

This is an instrument one can play with aggression or delicacy; and neither approach sacrifices its beautiful tone at all. A tremendous guitar ~ one without equal in the world of 1930's small-bodied Gibsons.
1963

GIBSON

ES-335

This is what it's all about, folks. Incredible air and sparkle combined with warmth, fullness, and punch that only these old PAFs seem to possess. Every pickup position leaves us gleefully shaking our collective heads.
1967

GIBSON

Melody Maker

With its dual single-coil pickups and a quirky 3-position slider switch in place of the usual toggle, this Melody Maker channels the Fender-like qualities Gibson was chasing. Originally marketed to students, it's long since proven itself a formidable vintage electric, with a distinct voice and aesthetic that still stands out in a crowded field.

Fender

BASS VI

This 1969 Fender Bass VI in original 3-Tone Sunburst finish is one of the cleanest 60s Fender electrics we've had in our shop, and is the first vintage Bass VI we've ever offered for sale here at TME.
