We here at TME have a long history with the Martin OM-45: it was former co-owner, and early-Martin guru, Eric Schoenberg, who was instrumental in reinvigorating the OM's greatness in the late 1970's. And the limited run of OM-45 produced for the shop at that time are widely regarded as some of the finest instruments Martin made during that decade. After wondering why the OM-45 remained absent from the Standard Series for so long, we're glad to see it reintroduced this year -- and the new, vintage-inspired Standard Series refresher package, including "Golden Era" bracing and bridge profile, rounded fingerboard edges, and a more period-correct neck volute carve make this version of the OM-45 all the more exciting. Featuring the most beautiful tonewoods you'll find on a Standard Series OM, a genuine Mahogany neck, and early-1940's style Hexagonal inlays, the OM-45 offers sophisticated tone and looks that will appeal to the discerning collector.
