Product information

If you spend equal time flatpicking, fingerpicking, and using your guitar as a backdrop for your voice, we think you'll love the DF.

The Music Emporium is happy to be stocking Iris Guitars, handcrafted by a small team of highly skilled luthiers in Burlington, VT. There's certainly been a trend towards instruments inspired by Depression-era flattops these last few years. But what's been sorely missing is a dreadnought entrant ~ witness the DF. If you spend equal time flatpicking, fingerpicking, and using your guitar as a backdrop for your voice, we think you'll love the DF. Super smooth playability, gorgeous looks and finish work, and the big, clear, woody thump that a great slope-shouldered dreadnought ought to provide. It's got a sweet sound when played lightly, but can really spit back when you dig in (we've upgraded the guitar with an Adirondack Spruce top). A crystal clear winner for sloped dreadnoughts in this price point! With hardshell case.
