If you've longed for the sweet, woody sound of a Banner-era LG model, but you've been put off by the baseball-bat neck profile, we think you'll love Atkin's LG47: the modern C-shaped neck, which strikes a nice balance between substance and playability, feels wonderful in-hand and responds to even a light touch. This LG47 is built on Atkin's "Reserve" platform, which offers upgraded tonewoods--Adirondack Spruce for the top and Honduran Mahogany for the back & sides. It also features Atkin's medium-level Aged Finish, meaning you'll see small amounts of playwear and relic treatment alongside the standard lacquer checking. It's a wonderful sounding guitar--one we're sure would fool many onlookers (and onlisteners?) into thinking it's 80 years old.Vibe. Tone. Playability.
