The Kingston is the newest addition to Magnatone's Traditional Collection - a hand-built, American-made 12-watt combo designed by Chief Engineer Obeid Khan alongside Larry Cragg, the legendary guitar tech whose ears have shaped the live sound of Neil Young for decades. That collaboration isn't incidental. It's in every note.Two 12AX7s up front, a pair of 6V6s out back, and a Magnatone Custom 12-inch ceramic speaker - the Kingston has the architecture of a classic American amp and the voice to match. Clean, responsive, creamy without being soft. It stays articulate and musical at low volumes, which means it works as hard in a recording session as it does at a club gig. The feature set is straightforward by design: High and Low inputs, Volume, Treble, Bass, and Reverb, Accutronics Digi-Log spring-style reverb with footswitch, external speaker output, and a line out.
