The Ellisonic pickups from Ron Ellis are the same sets used by Collings in their lauded 470 JL (Julian Lage) signature guitars.

"The Ellisonic JL set was developed for the Collings Julian Lage 470 JL guitar. I worked with Julian and Collings using the DeArmond Dynasonic pickup as a platform to work off of. The Ellisonic pickup has great clarity, note separation and an acoustic-like character and feel. You can hear hints of Dynasonic, P90 and Tele mixed all together in one pickup."
