Even after a year and a half and dozens of A-Types later, they still feel just as fresh and exciting as they did in June of '23.

By now, you've no doubt heard about Andy Powers' A-Type and how their original design draws on Andy's upbringing in Southern California - meaning, surf, hotrod, and skateboard culture.

What likely hasn't been discussed enough is just how consistently great these guitars are. Each is as flawlessly made as the last, and we've seen, held, and played dozens of them to date.

Beyond build quality, what's more notable is how these guitars feel a year and a half into their lifespan. To be clear, we don't mean how they're aging literally, we're focused more on how they hold up conceptually - he we react to them. To be sure, Andy wanted to deliver an original guitar to players seeking something new - specifically, for folks "who don't want to be a stereotype."

What also can't be emphasized enough is just how amazing this Cruise Night Blue looks in person! Wow! It really morphs depending on how the light hits it / the angle. Of the A-Types we've seen, this is easily in the top 3 regarding the wow factor. Very cool.

Even after a year and a half and dozens of A-Types later, they still feel just as fresh and exciting as they did in June of '23. That's an aspect of guitar ownership we think deserves more attention - sure, it's cool now, but am I still going to be moved by it years down the road? If our experience says anything, the answer is a resounding yes.
