At the heart of this limited edition Serus P2 is an Eastern curly maple top paired with a chambered swamp ash body, delivering a lightweight, resonant, and highly responsive feel. And when we say lightweight, we mean it - 6lbs 6oz.

Hollow block inlays and binding round out the look, while a set of Ron Ellis P90s brings tonal magic to any build. Plugged into our trusty Carr Skylark (v1), we were struck by the range this guitar delivers. Think of it as a cross between a Tele, a Les Paul Special, and a Jazzmaster: it shares the Jazzmaster’s fundamental clarity (thanks in part to the chambered body), the bite and "crang" of a great Tele bridge pickup (without being overly twangy), and the fatness and smoothness of an LP Special in the middle and neck positions. However you frame it, it’s just great stuff.

Like every Novo, the comfort factor is off the charts. The chunky C (.880") neck profile, paired with a super smooth, worn finish, feels instantly familiar - ideal for fans of '50s Fenders and Gibsons. The Serus body contours make upper fret access effortless; playability is the name of the game here.
