This 1969 Martin D-28 comes to us from its original owner, who's ready to part ways with it after decades of loving ownership. We're told it was a trusted performing guitar for many years -- and its robust tone and well-traveled original hard case certainly bear that theory out. The original pickguard has been replaced, but all other structural components are original. Luthier Pat DiBurro, of Exeter, NH, performed a neck reset and bridge reglue about ten years ago; and all repairs have stayed rock solid. While we don't usually get romantic about the tone of 60's D-28s, this is a particularly nice-sounding guitar, with fullness, shimmer, and detail to please even the most hardened vintage stalwart (and check out that lovely Brazilian Rosewood). If you're in the market for a vintage Brazilian Rosewood dreadnought, this beautiful D-28 would be an excellent choice.
