It's always a treat to play one of Gibson's "Kel Kroydon" flattops from the the early 1930's -- these are amongst the lightest flattop guitars ever produced, and reward a sensitive attack with gigantic, blooming sound. This variant, the KK-1, is the basic, minimally appointed entrant in the lineup, featuring a naturally-finished Spruce top, black-stained Mahogany body & neck, and Rosewood bridge and fingerboard. This guitar's original structure remains completely intact; and it exhibits the warm, dry sound that has kept players flocking back to Kel Kroydon guitars. Even strung with .011-.052 strings, its responsiveness is the envy of almost all other guitars!

As noted, this KK-1 remains in original condition -- with only a replacement saddle to mention. The original Ebony nut, original frets, and original bridge and fingerboard are all in good condition; and all internal components are clean & original as well. There are three previously-repaired top cracks; and our shop has reglued them, shoring them anew. Please examine our photo gallery for closeups of the other scratches, scrapes, and playwear visible on the guitar's body. In all? A very stable, playable, and great-sounding KK-1 that would please anyone on the hunt for one of these legendarily light instruments! Priced with non-original hard case.
