This preowner Healy Growler is about a customized as you'll see. Dressed up in beautiful Walnut from the headstock veneer to the fingerboard and finally the top, it's ripe with character and vibe. But it doesn't stop there...

Check out the painted sides! What better way to transition from the figured Walnut top to the straight grain look of the chambered Mahogany body than to give it some added depth and contrast with that beautiful Thermal Blue satin finish. We see a little Danelectro influence there, but executed with much more artistry and cohesion. If that wasn't enough for you, Trevor pulled that gorgeous deep blue color into a stinger on the headstock! Who doesn't love a stinger?!?

Transitioning from aesthetics here, let's talk about tone.

Trevor has been using Gemini pickups in heavy rotation for his builds, and for good reason. Rob Banta winds some incredible pickups, and these Guyatone style gold foils housed in custom open top mini humbucker covered are no exception. The Guyatone gold foil tone separates itself from the more commonly known Harmony gold foil tone in that it typically has a stronger output with more bass response and midrange. Still chimey and bright, but with more balance. That tone is all here in this Growler, adding a truly distinct voice to this double-cut.

Combined with the MojoAxe wraparound tailpiece, there's immediacy to the attack combined with great focus and sustain. The chime and jangle of the clean tones are addicting, and overdriven tones are rich and cutting. The middle position (both pickups on) is a house favorite on this one!

With every Healy that comes through our doors, we're continually impressed by the artistry and ethos behind these builds. These are tremendous guitars that hold their own among vintage and modern titans, and then some.
