This 1965 Gibson J-45 comes to us from the estate of a beloved client; and it's just as clean as it was when he purchased it from us some twenty years ago. It's a great-sounding example of the model, with the compressed, warm chime that makes these guitars so sought after by recording engineers. If you've been waiting for a versatile vintage Gibson that'll hold its value well and provide years of musical adventures while you've got it, look no further.
As 60-year old guitars go, we'd call this one as clean as they come. The finish shows the expected checking, and scattered scrapes and pick marks. The center seam of the back shows an older separation, which is solid, stable, and does not require attention at this time. Our techs have set it up anew; and it's playing nicely with a straight neck and action at 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side). Priced with period hardshell case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
