With its inherent tonality maintained since 1964, this 1973 Princeton Reverb sounds as good as ever, and still one of the most versatile low wattage combos in the history of electric guitar amplification.
Why We Love This
This early 70s Princeton Reverb is proof that no matter what comes and goes in the realm of tube amps, these amps still reign supreme in the low watt combo world.
Outfitted with a newer Jensen C10Q and loaded with seemingly original power tubes (or at least early replacements), it's got the sweet low-volume tone that makes these so special, but with the efficiency and slightly higher wattage than the stock speaker would've provided.
It's currently got a 3-prong power cord and has had a recent service with a few cap changes. It's in great condition with some light to moderate wear consistent with age, but remains 100% structurally sound. At some point a previous owner attempted to (or did) install a 12" speaker, so it's got a couple of extra small screw holes in the baffle.
