1965 Fender Jaguar in original 3-Tone Sunburst finish just in on trade!
A great playing early year example of Fender's beloved short scale offset, this Jaguar has a classic 3-Tone Sunburst finish and sports a super vibrant original tortoise celluloid pickguard for an eye-catching look.
The neck has a very comfortable oval C carve with a chunky taper and original frets that maintain nice vintage feel and playability. The back of the neck is perfectly broken-in, with a smooth feel that only decades of steady play time can create. Even in our heyday of aged guitars, there's nothing quite like playing an instrument that's naturally worn and faded like this one. The peghead is very clean with a nice original decal, and the original Kluson tuners work great!
A pair of original Jaguar single-coil pickups are tied to an original wiring harness, with Stackpole pots dated to the 8th week of 1965. Clear, open, and chimey, these pickups have a quick, percussive response that make these great for rhythm and tight melodic work alike. They sound particularly great with some gain, too - think Gerardo Larios's tone on Spoon's 2022 Release 'Lucifer On The Sofa'. They have a certain cut and sizzle unique to Jaguars that seems to bounce right out of a mix.
The guitar is accompanied by its original "no logo" Fender hardshell case and tremolo arm.
All in all, this is a great CBS-Era L series Jaguar that's ready for action!
