Product information

Big, punchy low end response with some Blackface sparkle in the top end, the Bassman continues to be lauded as one of Fender's great achievements in mid/high powered tube tone.

The Fender Bassman has a rich and well-deserved history as one of the most popular higher-powered amplifiers made since its inception in 1954. This early Blackface era Bassman hails from 1965, with big, rich clean tones, and a wonderful crunchy breakup when pushed.

Putting out 50 watts via a pair of 6L6 power tubes, the Bassman hit a nice sweet spot in the mid to high powered amp range, where low volume tones have weight and big amp feel that's harder to replicate in low wattage packages. Paired up with its original 2x12 cabinet, it absolutely sings with tight low end and low-mid punch and a sparkly top end.

This Bassman has just come back from a fresh service by Boston area amp tech Stan Day and is ready to go! The original output transformer was replaced some time ago but it's the proper spec. A new 3-prong power cord was also installed.
