1963 Fender 6G2 Princeton just in!

This is a great sounding example of the transitional 6G2 circuit that originally debuted in 1961 with the introduction of Fender's Brown amp lineup. As Fender integrated their "Blackface" aesthetic at the end of 1963, they often combined elements of prior year details with new looks. Dubbed the "Tuxedo" look, these late '63/ early '64 builds - Princeton and Bassman, for example - had black tolex cabinets, black faceplates, but white knobs often seen on early 60s amps. This Princeton was completed in November 1963 and has remained in nice condition. It retains its original transformers throughout, along with a serviced but non-modified circuit that delivers on the classic Brown-Era Princeton tone. Lush, bias-vary tremolo compliments the sweet low volume cleans, while pushing the volume and tone controls to their limits reveals an almost Marshall-like roar.

The amp has just recently been serviced by Stan Day, and is loaded with a blue frame Eminence 10" speaker. The back panels and baffle have been replaced, but the cabinet is original as is its tolex and tube chart.

**Please Note: All vintage amplifiers - regardless of service history - contain electronic components that will eventually require replacement or repair. This is often unpredictable and should be expected as a vintage amplifier owner. We are not responsible for additional service upon receipt. We also do not guarantee tube life.**
Condition: Vintage. Fully inspected and set up by TME staff before it ships or leaves the showroom.
