Anyone in the market for a pre-owned Collings OM2H would do well to snag this 2013 model, upgraded with a 1 3/4" nut width and European (German) Spruce top. German Spruce imparts color, power, and top end sparkle relative to the default top wood (Sitka); and its stiffness across the grain is comparable to the heralded Adirondack Spruce used on pre-war Martins. Translation? This is an OM you can dig into, when volume under a flatpick is required, yet it will produce lush, complex tones when played with a more delicate attack.
