As always, Collings is using superb materials on these instruments—flamed maple back, select aged Adirondack spruce tops with tone-bar bracing, all carved to exacting standards. Even the adjustable ebony bridges are crafted at the Collings shop, as is the tailpiece—Bill's own original design. Three-dimensional tone with exceptional power, single-note body, and cutting clarity. A dynamic mandolin with exceptional sound and professionial playability right out of the gate.
