A quarter century ago, Collings reset the bar for the modern American mandolin. This MT2 proves a supremely capable, powerful A mandolin that easily cuts through the mix.
The Collings MT2 has long been a fixture in the mandolin scene, prized by players for it's unrivaled playability and powerful, complex tone. Featuring a beautiful set of birdseye maple on the back and sides, and paired with an upgraded Italian spruce top, this MT2 boasts a nuanced voice and powerful chop. This 2019 example was purchased new from TME originally, and has been well cared for over the years, with only light signs of prior ownership apparent, most notably a few light scratches on the peghead.
