Product information

Everything we love about Vazquez Rubio's phenomenal sounding guitars in a narrower-nut, cutaway crossover format.

Vazquez Rubio's Estudio models have proved to be enduring favorites here among classical guitarists and other nylon-string adventurers across a range of styles. For many non-classical players coming from steel string, the Estudio would be the perfect instrument, if only it had just a little narrower nut width. So, we have prevailed upon Germán to build us a Custom Crossover Estudio with a 48 mm nut width and a cutaway. Everything else in the design and sound of this guitar remains the same as the beloved Estudio Spruce.

Germán hit it out of the park on this model—what an acoustic powerhouse of a crossover! With a thin, lightly aged, lacquer finish that feels more like French polish, the Estudio Crossover is a lightweight, dynamic guitar, quick in its response with good headroom and robust depth of tone. Dark wood binding and a multicolored rosette with matching purflings complete a very tasteful aesthetic.
