Boutique ES-style tone with heirloom craftsmanship. The Nik Huber Rietbergen blends rich, versatile sound with flawless feel and refined design.
Named for Nik Huber's wife's family name, the Rietbergen is an heirloom quality hollow-body constructed of a carved, exceptionally flame maple top and carved Mahogany body that incorporates a center block into the design. The build quality and attention to detail are flawless and Huber's satin finish make this lightweight guitar feel instantly comfortable and familiar.
Mother-of-pearl inlays along with the aforementioned finish, Haeussel pickups ('59 bridge / Vintage neck) pickups, maple binding, aged nickel hardware, and an ebony fingerboard and headstock veneer round out the deluxe appointments.
The Rietbergen has a complex, rich, and versatile voice - nice top-end clarity coupled with a fat midrange - that sounds great clean or it can pack a punch when you crank your amp. It's in the ES-335 world, yet has a more sophisticated and extended EQ. The mids are richer and the top end a little silkier.
