We acquired this 1975 Martin D-35 from its original owner -- a local bluegrass enthusiast who purchased it thinking he'd follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Martin but never quite got around to practicing as much as he planned to. The guitar sat dormant in its case for many years, and, consequently, is in lovely shape! It's a really nice sounding instrument as well: the lighter bracing of the D-35 seems to counteract the heavier 1970's Martin build structure, resulting in a guitar that's boomy and complex sounding. A wonderful "first vintage guitar."
We'd call this guitar's overall condition "very good" for its age. There are no meaningful structural issues or cosmetic blemishes -- only the sort of expected lacquer checking and signs of handling consistent with age. Our shop has just performed a neck reset, and set the guitar up anew. Price includes the original hardshell case.
