Product information

Bluegrass guitarists who've bonded with the response and feel of an early 1940's Martin dreadnought will love the way this guitar plays.

The Martin D-18 Molly Tuttle pays tribute to one of the modern era's most exciting and accomplished flatpickers. Inspired by Molly's own 1943 D-18, this guitar features a Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides, scalloped bracing with a rear-shifted X brace, and Martin's Authentic 1941 neck carve. Bluegrass guitarists who've bonded with the response and feel of an early 1940's Martin dreadnought will love the way this guitar plays; and its crisp, clear sound calls to mind the fabled description Norman Blake sang about in "The D-18 Song." We're happy Molly Tuttle is getting her time to shine, and applaud her design choices as well! Priced with hard case, the D-18 Molly Tuttle is an exciting entry in the Martin lineup for players who crave vintage tone & looks in a modern instrument.
