Collings MT2 Honey Amber (USED, 2013)
Used
Collings' flagship A model and a perennial favorite here, the MT2 has earned its place in the mandolin world. This pre-owned MT2 is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to move into a professional caliber instrument.
It is hard to imagine a louder, clearer, better-built mandolin anywhere in this price range than the Collings MT2. There is something magical about a well crafted A that make them hard to pass up. As always, Collings is using superb materials on these instruments—flamed maple back, select aged Adirondack spruce tops with tone-bar bracing, all carved to exacting standards. Even the adjustable ebony bridges are crafted at the Collings shop, as is the tailpiece—Bill's own original design. This mandolin shows light signs of prior ownership, but remains remarkably clean for a 2013 build. There are a few light finish marks on the peghead, and some faint pick marks. Frets are in great shape and playability is spot on after a fresh setup. Priced with original hardshell case.| Top | Adirondack Spruce |
