Collings' flagship mandolin, the MF5 Deluxe Varnish is a fully appointed F5 with a powerful, clear voice, both woody and complex. It is equally well suited to bluegrass, American roots genres, and both ensemble and solo performance. Witha its quilted maple back, engraved Collings tailpiece, and Torch & Wire headstock inlay, it makes for a sublime instrument whose visual appeal is matched by its tone.
