Product information

The Nik Huber Krautster III pairs Haussel pickups, wraptail simplicity, and a chunky satin flamed maple neck with Huber’s distinctive Dolphin body shape.

The Huber Krautster began life as a stripped-down rock machine: a single bridge humbucker and a single volume control, built for players who value simplicity and tone above all else. As the model gained a following, requests for a two-pickup version led to the Krautster II, adding even more versatility while keeping the direct, no-nonsense spirit of the original.

The Krautster III carries that lineage forward with the exceptional craftsmanship we’ve come to expect from Nik Huber. Highlights include a satin-finished flamed maple neck, satin-finished top with an open-pore back, Huber wraptail bridge, and a pair of outstanding Haussel pickups with coil tap capability. The neck carve is substantial but really comfy - one of those profiles that feels great in the hand.

The biggest change comes in the form of Huber’s Dolphin body shape, replacing the more traditional LP-style outline. After spending time with both, we’ve grown especially fond of the Dolphin - it’s distinctive, beautifully balanced, and unmistakably Huber.
