Collings City Limits Deluxe Koa Top w/ Throbaks (USED, 2014)
LP-Style · Humbuckers Pickups · Used
This 2014 CL Deluxe has just come in on consignment, and it's a total stunner! As a matter of fact, Collings does not current offer a Koa top option, which speaks to the rarity of this upgrade. Coupled with the grained ivoroid humbucker rings and knobs, it's a unique and elevated aesthetic that we're really digging here!
The Throbak SLE101+ humbuckers give it some excellent punch, sustain, and dynamics with a touch more output than more traditional PAF-style winds- perfect for an LP-style guitar! It's been very well maintained as shown in the photos, with a few small nicks around the treble-side waist/contour. There are some light pick scratches on the top, but those blend in rather well given the figure of the Koa.
A CL Deluxe with this kind of top doesn't come along often. If you've been looking for a special Collings electric that looks like no other, this could be the one for you!
