Vintage style combines with modern build quality and amazing playability in this newest 290 inspired by those legendary '58 parchment-guard Kalamazoo electrics

Born out of the idea of having an old mid/late 50s Gibson LP Special modded for humbuckers, this 290 aims at capturing that slab Mahogany body tone with the bigger, clearer, and sweeter tones of humbucker pickups.

Coupled with a Mahogany body and Music Ctiy Bridge Savvy wraparound tailpiece, this is a 290 that rewards the player with incredible dynamic response and frequency range, an increased immediacy of attack, and strong fundamental power.

We're tipping our cap to the great Korina-made solidbodies of 1958 in this 290. The Natural finish combined with a 3-ply parchment guard has an unmistakable vintage aesthetic, there's a sleekness to it that presents as pseudo-modern. This is where the idea of old school and new school collide, highlighting one another to provide something special.

This is also the first build to feature a set of the Throbak JW-102B humbuckers! These winds feature long A5 magnets for excellent clarity and punch, which work very well in an all-Mahogany electric. The neck pickup tone in this guitar is just insane!
