Collings C-00 model was inspired by the sound of great vintage guitars, and is reminiscent of Collings's recent Hill Country models. It's lightweight, resonant, and just a joy to play. Every one of us who picked it up has played it for a good while before we were willing to put it down.
It has a wonderfully broken-in tone, with a satisfyingly warm and woody lower register. If you've previously had the opportunity to play one of Collings's C-10 model and wished it was more Gibson(y), this is the model for you. It feels great, with a full V neck profile that's a bit meatier than the standard C-10, but still comfortable in the hand. It's very much in keeping with our idea of how this style of guitar should feel. The darker closed-in Sunburst and Rosewood bridge and fingerboard are nice details that heighten the period correct aesthetic.
Outside of the Hill Country models, this may be the most vintage sounding guitar Collings has ever built. Rest assured, it still has a recognizably Collings's sonic fingerprint, with great note definition and even responsiveness as you play up and down the neck, but with a warmer punchier sound that harkens back to the sound of a great 30's era vintage guitar. We love this new model and are fully onboard for this exciting new direction from Collings!

Every instrument is thoroughly checked and set up before shipping fully insured via UPS with tracking to your door. We reuse boxes and materials to cut waste when they meet our protection standard.
Inspect it, play it, and if it isn't right, contact us within 48 hours of delivery to arrange a return or one-time exchange. Returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee, and the buyer covers shipping both ways.
