Ron Thorn took everything a great Tele does and asked what it would take to do it better - this is the answer.

Some guitars stop you dead in your tracks, and not in a casual "cool guitar" way. It's more of a "I absolutely have to check this one out" way. Ron Thorn's G/T is that guitar for us.

The G/T embodies obvious Tele DNA, but it's not a replica or "just another Tele" by any stretch. It's been carefully rethought from the ground up by one of the most talented builders working today (who also happened to be a Fender Masterbuilder and head of the Custom Shop). So, when a builder like Ron Thorn revisits an iconic form, he's chasing something very specific. Every dimension, every material choice, every curve is in service of tone, feel, playabilitiy. The G/T is the result of that obsession.

At 7 lbs 4 oz it hangs like it was made for you - light, agile, and balanced in a way that makes a three-hour session feel like twenty minutes. Like all of Ron's guitars, there's a sleekness to it that reads immediately when you pick it up: this is a player's guitar, not a showpiece. Plugged in, the G/T delivers everything a great Tele should - equal parts chime, clarity, twang, bite - and then some. Ron's Brass Knuckle bridge is machined from brass and engineered to function similarly to a wraptail, which adds subtle warmth and a silly amount of sustain without straying too far from classic Tele tones.

The neck is perfectly shaped (a medium C profile), the 6105 frets installed to deliver effortless playability. It rings. Notes bloom, chords ring for days, and the whole thing just feels alive under your hands.
