Product information

This 2021 Collings D-42 has just arrived for consignment! Built with Madagascar Rosewood back & sides, and an Adirondack Spruce top, and sporting style-42 abalone purflings, this is about as dressed-up a dreadnought as Collings offers! It's had almost five years to open up, and the sound is wildly mature for its age, exhibiting astounding power, clarity, and a round, built-in-reverby quality to its treble register. A fantastic sounding example of Collings' work!

While we're comfortable calling this guitar's overall condition "excellent," it has been played and shows light pick wear on the pickguard and adjacent area of the soundboard. There are also two miniscule dings on the top. Our shop has freshened the setup, and it plays very easily under tension of medium gauge strings. Priced with its original TKL hard case.
