Surfy Industries Surfybear Compact "Beach Boys" Edition

The reverb that built the California sound - in a limited edition worthy of the record that defined it.

For the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds, Surfy Industries has produced a limited run in Beach Boys livery, and it's the kind of occasion that actually warrants a special edition.

Here's why that album earns the treatment: Brian Wilson recorded Pet Sounds in 1966 using the same spring reverb technology embedded in this pedal. The ambient depth that runs through "God Only Knows," the shimmering space behind "Wouldn't It Be Nice" - that's partly what a spring tank does when it's dialed in right. The SurfyBear doesn't just evoke that era; it replicates the circuit behavior that made it. The analog signal path, the transformer-balanced I/O, the physical spring tank - this is a functional artifact of that sound, not a tribute in name only.

Pet Sounds reshaped what a pop record could be. Paul McCartney has spoken at length about its influence on Sgt. Pepper's. Six decades later, the reverb at the center of that sound is still a benchmark. This run is extremely limited worldwide.
