Henderson D-45 Sunburst (Preowned)
Used
This instrument comes to us from the collection of a longtime client who has owned it for many years. As one would expect, it delivers the powerful, complex sound of a great Brazilian Rosewood dreadnought -- with piercing clarity, great balance, and woodiness of voice. It sustains effortlessly, with that great "built in reverb" exhibited by many vintage guitars.
The neck is not extraordinarily big for a guitar built in this style. And in keeping with what you've likely read about Henderson's dedication to hand-building his instruments, the pearl inlays and Sunburst finish call to mind an instrument made many decades ago.
Our shop has reset the neck and freshened the setup, leaving adequate saddle height for the next owner to adjust the action as desired. Playability is excellent up and down the fingerboard, and the guitar can accommodate light or medium strings without sacrificing depth of tone. Cosmetically, there's little to report in the way of significant blemishes, though bear in mind this guitar has been played regularly for several decades and shows the expected handling wear and finish sink. The celluloid pickguard shows minor deterioration, but looks fantastic in person.
The original Superior hard case is included. If the next owner should desire a case upgrade, we have Caltons and TKL Voyagers available.
