Redwood is a compelling tonewood choice for the Goodall RCJC platform. It has higher headroom than cedar, but shares with the latter a certain dark, warm flavor that makes for a more direct, full fundamental note. Paired with East Indian rosewood, we love the balance this provides to Goodall's three-dimensional, overtone-rich voicing. The Concert Jumbo body makes for a versatile instrument, great for both fingerstyle, strummed, and even some melodic, modern flatpicking applications. Despite the large lower bout, this guitar sits very easily in the lap. With a low-taper, C profile neck, playability is streamlined and comfortable.
