1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in original Cherry Sunburst just in on consignment!
The historic single-cut solidbody began its "Deluxe" journey at the end of the 1960s and carried into the 1970s before the reintroduction of the "Standard" in 1974. The mini humbuckers offer some excellent chime and airiness unique to their design, bridging the gap between the fullness of a true humbucker and the snap of a single-coil pickup (a la Telecaster).
This '73 was clearly a favored guitar over the years, with some obvious natural play wear throughout (see belt buckle rash on the body). However, it remained in great overall condition throughout the years, with a few small changes that were tastefully made without compromising the vintage spec.
A very well-executed headstock repair by New England guitar repair master Jon Mouradian would have you second guessing whether or not an actual repair was even made, and some reproduction Kluson tuners replaced the original Klusons that would've originally been on the guitar. The ABR-1 bridge was also replaced with a comparable Japanese version that functions just like an original. Otherwise all of the electronics are original to the guitar as are the plastics (pickguard, knobs).
This '72 Deluxe is undoubtedly a tremendous value in the vintage LP market.
