1971 Fender Telecaster in original Olympic White finish just into the shop on consignment!
What an absolute knockout of a guitar this is. If you've ever doubted a 70s CBS-Era Fender, play this guitar and it'll change your mind.
Clocking in at hair under 7lbs, it's noticeably light and resonant. The medium C neck carve- a sleeper neck profile often found on late 60s and early 70s Teles, with just the right amount of taper for a guitar that has a fuller feel in first position.
This guitar was once owned by the Muscogee County School District in Columbus, GA as evidenced by the labels affixed to the back of the body and neck, respectively. Imagine picking this guitar up in band class?!
It's got the classic tele bite with a little extra zing on top due to the original 1 Meg pots. Using the bridge pickup with the tone backed off a bit warms and fattens things right up, and if you want more clarity in the neck position, you've got plenty on tap.
This guitar is in great shape and mostly original save for the pickguard, the nut, and the 3-way switch. Pickups and electronics are original to the guitar, as is the finish. There are some larger dings and divots in the back of the body closer to the lower bout, which is where we found the most wear on the guitar.
This '71 could easily go toe-to-toe with some of the earlier mid/late 60s examples, and at a pretty amazing value to boot.
Priced with original hardshell case.
